What's
New In Ferd Land:
May
8, 2006- See! I didn't fall off the face of the world! I'm still alive
and kicking--and s-l-o-w-l-y revamping the site to my personal site. Good
News-My Fan Fic
Site has been updated, as well as my about
me page. Check them out!
July
17, 2005- Well you may have already noticed that "Ferdalump Frumps"
is undergoing some changes. The biggest one being the fact that I am
no longer accepting orders for custom costumes. This is a permanant
change. Please do not email me asking when I can accomodate your order,
I will not be able to. Of course if I have already taken your deposit,
and am in the midst of creating your dress, I will absolutely complete
your order.
However,
due to some changes in my personal life, and many other reasons, I have
decided to no longer be in the costuming business.
Thanks
to everyone who was kind enough to allow me to create a costume for you
to wear and enjoy. Thanks for the hundreds of very kind emails complimenting
my work over the years. And last, but certainly no least, thanks to you
who did understand what I have gone through in creating each piece showcased
on this site, and knowing why I'm making this change. Your words of encouragement
mean so much to me, and helped tremendously while I was making this difficult
decision.
What
does this mean for the future of ferdalump.com? Well, I have no plans to
give up the site, and have every intention to continue sewing movie costumes,
and sharing pictures of them here. This site will now host more on my other
hobbies, and guilty pleasures, such as Fan Fiction and my crazy love for
all things monkey.
I
look forward to sharing more of my creations with you in the near future,
and hope you keep visiting 'my little site that could' to see what I've
whipped up for fun.

How
Cool Is This?!?!
I
have been blessed to have had the opportunity to sew for so many wonderful
people from all over the world. I was honored to receive pictures of my
client's wearing their "dream" dresses. One of the most exciting emails
I received was from a young lady in Austria that I created a dress to wear
to the premiere of Star Wars Episode 3. Not only did she win a costume
contest, she got to meet Hayden Christensen and George Lucas (Both of which
complimented my replica of the Pastel Lake Gown. Yeep!) Here's one of her
pics from the event. Thanks SO Very much for sharing it with me. You are
one lucky lady, and I'm thrilled to have met you. **hugs**
Costume
Tutorials
Occassionally,
when I have the free time, I like to write up little tutorials to share
with my fellow costumers. Sometimes they are whole costumes, and sometimes
just a simple accessory. I have learned so much from the costuming community
online, and this is just my little way of giving something back. If you
find them helpful, please drop me a note and let me know. I'd love to hear
from you.

Create your
own South Park character. I literally wasted a good hunk of my life playing
with this thing. You have to check it out. Here's me as I think I would
look on South Park. Click the pic to go to the site.
Monkeys
are Funny!
I
get a kick out of monkeys~ If you do too, check out this great site.
She
also has great stuff on Audrey Hepburn.
Love
Star Wars? Me too! Check out Maggies's AWESOME Site! Your one stop prequel
costuming website.
