Provincial Belle Costume
This was a fun little costume I whipped together for myself to attend "Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party" at Walt Disney World. For the rare occassion they allowed costumes to be worn in the park, and it was so much fun to trick-or-treat throughout the Magic Kingdom. It is a secret fantasy of mine to play a Disney Princess, so I have to say I was flattered all over the place when Disney employess came up and complimented me profusely and made sure I knew it was Belle's day off and I wasn't allowed to sign autographs and pose for pictures. (LOL!) But, it was a lot of fun to talk with the little girls who came up and told me how much they loved me, and commented on my dress-one little girl in particular told me how much she loved to read, and I (Belle) made her like reading. It also cracked me up during the parade when some of the "real" characters came up and waved and said "Hey Belle!"
I can tell you there is nothing better in the world than walking around a Disney park dressed like a Disney Princess-It made for a very magical evening.
Now, if only I had the figure of Belle, and that lovely singing voice...
