Padme's Pastel Lake Gown with a Prom Twist This gown is what happens when you want the Pastel Lake gown, but not quite. My client fell in love with the gown Padme wears in Episode 2, and knew she wanted it for her Prom gown, but she wanted to customize it to suit her needs. She opted to not have any kind of overdress, and also did not want the "wings" on the arms, and expressed that she wanted the gown to hug her figure more, and not allow her to get lost in yards of material. She also decided against the shell like necklace, and requested that rhinestones be used on the gown. Here's the end result; A figure hugging gown with a low cut back and slight bustle train, made of hand dyed silk in a variety of pastel shades. The halter neckline is adorned with AB swarvoski rhinestones that reflect the pastel shades of the material. Two AB rhinestone clasps accent the base of the straps at the top of the bustline. The final gown is reminiscent of Padme's lake gown, but more in the vein of a Prom gown, and less of a costume. In my opinion, a great example of how a costume can be re-worked to suit the needs of whatever occasion you wish to wear it to. Sorry, this gown is not for sale, and I no longer take orders for custom dresses and costumes.
