Rose's Tea Gown
from Titanic

Of all the lovely gowns from 'Titanic' this gown is my favorite.
I am partial to green, and I love the contrast of the green and orange--the lovely citrus shades. I love the tiers of lace and the beautiful, delicate sleeves.
Sadly, this gown does not get much screen time-but it still a popular gown amongst the fans out there.

My first version of this gown (as pictured) was made with domestic lace to keep the cost down. English net was used for the bodice and sleeves. A lovely shade of green matte satin was used for the underdress, and rich orange taffeta edged in black velvet for the sash.
A silk flower was handpainted to resemble the original.

I have since re-created this gown with guipure lace and will be loading the pictures as soon as I can.
