CanCan Dress
from 'Moulin Rouge'
Unlike most ladies I was not drawn towards the flashy costumes of Satine, I preferred the lacey, feminine frills of the CanCan dancer Baby Doll. I am an active member of chat group "The Windmill" and met with the great group of ladies (and gents) to flash some frills on Friday night at Dragon Con '03.
This
adorable garment was made with a rich mauve pink fabric and was accented
with miles of ecru lace. The built in petticoat was full of over 60 yards
ruffled lace in blue, cream and pink. The full ensemble included blue "baby"
bloomers, garters, and a floral adorned bonnet.
The
empire waistline was quite flattering and the circle skirt design had almost
a 7 yard circumference! Yeesh!
It
was fun to twirl in though! Lots of fun to wear for sure.
